Swimwear laundry advice
BYLIMA prioritizes top-quality materials. All our swimwear is crafted from the finest certified LYCRA, chosen for its durability—lasting 5 to 10 times longer in chlorine and seawater compared to other elastic materials. While we use the best materials, we recommend following the care instructions below to maintain your swimwear’s quality.
Care Instructions:
Rinse immediately: After each swim, rinse your swimwear with clean lukewarm tap water to remove chlorine and salt.
Hand wash: Wash your swimwear by hand in lukewarm water with a small amount of mild soap.
Short soak: Do not let your swimwear soak in soapy water for extended periods. Soak briefly, then rinse thoroughly.
Avoid wringing: Never wring out your swimwear. Gently press out excess water, then hang it to drip dry out of direct sunlight or lay it flat on a clothes rack.
Storage: Only store your swimwear once it is completely dry to prevent discoloration.
Machine and dryer: Never put your swimwear in the washing machine or dryer. LYCRA is an elastic material that can be damaged by both.
No bleach or harsh detergents: Avoid bleach, spot cleaners, or aggressive detergents, as these can damage the LYCRA and degrade the fabric.
Ironing and dry cleaning: Never iron your swimwear or take it to the dry cleaner.
Additional Tips:
Avoid damp storage: Do not leave your damp swimwear in a bag or with a wet towel for extended periods, as this can cause discoloration.
Handle carefully: Be extra cautious when washing swimwear with embellishments or attached emblems.
Protect from rough surfaces: Avoid contact with rough surfaces like rocks or pool edges to prevent damage to the LYCRA, which can cause pilling.
Rinse after swimming: If possible, take a quick shower after swimming to rinse off chlorine and salt before exposure to the sun.
*Please note: Complaints due to improper care will not be accepted.
By following these instructions, you can help maintain the beauty and durability of your swimwear for a long time.
